India used Israeli weapons in war against Pakistan, Netanyahu says
Pakistan has downed more than 25 Israeli-made drones from India in various cities of the country with the help of soft-kill and hard-kill power. The operator-controlled Herop drone is a suicide aerial weapon that is used to target enemy radars or command and control centers.
The Herop drone is manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries. This drone attacks according to the command given by the operator. It is equipped with advanced sensors that can accurately identify the target at all times, day or night. Through them, enemy movements, weapons caches and secret installations are monitored.
Its speed is up to 225 knots, this drone is capable of flying for 9 hours, traveling up to 1,000 kilometers and carrying a warhead of up to 23 kilograms. The Herop flies at an altitude of 35,000 feet.
Defense expert Lieutenant General (retd) Khalid Nadeem Lodhi told Geo News that this is an advanced drone, it is difficult to shoot down, but when it is seen, it can be easily shot down. The Israeli-made Herop includes several types of drones. When the radar is turned on, the anti-radiation drone goes straight towards it and explodes.
The second type of Herop drone is used to send information to the base, the purpose of which is to weaken the ability to fight a war, so they are sent in large numbers.
According to Lieutenant General (retd) Khalid Nadeem Lodhi, the cost of the Herop drone is not high, but the cost of the long-range missile used to shoot it down is much higher, so Pakistan is using soft kill power. The Herop drone is being shot down through short-range anti-aircraft guns and jamming. The drone's signals are also distorted and its direction is also distorted.
Experts say that India's Herop drone operation could be a test of Pakistan's air defense system or a prelude to a major military operation.
