Gaza: Famous Palestinian footballer known as Playoff Palestine martyred in Israeli attack

Famous Palestinian footballer Suleiman Al-Obeid, known as the Palestinian Playoff, was martyred in an Israeli attack in Gaza.

According to the Palestine Football Association, former Palestinian national football team star Suleiman Al-Obeid was waiting for help with other people in Gaza when he became the target of an Israeli attack.

According to Arab media, 41-year-old former international footballer Suleiman Al-Obeid scored more than 100 goals in his career. He was very popular among Palestinians and was also called the Yellow of Palestine.

Suleiman Al-Obeid leaves behind his wife and 5 children to mourn.

According to Arab media, after the martyrdom of Suleiman Al-Obeid, the number of athletes martyred during the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 2023 has reached 662. Of these, 321 were associated with football, including players, coaches, referees, administrators and club board members.
