Skardu: The Pakistan Army's operation to rescue tourists stranded in Deosai was successful and all the tourists were shifted to Skardu.

According to details, the Skardu-Deosai road was hit by landslides at several places due to heavy rains in the past few days, trapping tourists and locals in 40 to 50 vehicles.

After which the Pakistan Army immediately launched a rescue operation and with tireless efforts throughout the night, the Pakistan Army engineering teams have completely cleared the road from Skardu to Sadpara Mountaineering School and from Deosai to Sadpara village using heavy machinery.

Sources said that all the closed roads have been opened and all the stranded people and vehicles have been safely evacuated, after which traffic on the Skardu-Deosai road has been restored and traffic is flowing smoothly.

Military troops are still present in the area to deal with possible emergencies in a timely manner, locals and tourists appreciated the timely action and professional skills of the Pakistan Army.

Rescue sources said that tourists stranded in Deosai were rescued and shifted to Skardu. Deosai Road was closed due to floods and landslides, but Deosai Road has been restored.

Commissioner Baltistan says that tourists should not travel to mountainous areas during rains. The risk of landslides and floods increases during rains. People should avoid going near streams and rivers.
