Peshawar (Daily Pakistan Online) In the Senate elections in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 6 seats and the opposition parties won 5 seats. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 Senate seats were up for election and all 145 members of the assembly cast their votes.


According to Geo News, according to the unofficial and unofficial results, the PTI was declared successful on 4 out of 7 general seats. PTI's Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi and Noorul Haq Qadri won on the general seats. The opposition parties won on 3 general seats, PML-N's Niaz Ahmed, PPP's Talha Mahmood and JUI-F's Atta-ul-Haq won on the general seats.

According to the unofficial results, PTI candidate Murad Saeed got 26 votes, Faisal Javed got 22 votes, Noorul Haq Qadri got 21 votes and Mirza Afridi got 21 votes.

Of the two women's seats, PTI's Rubina Naz won one and PPP's Rubina Khalid won the other. According to the unofficial results, PTI candidate Rubina Naz got 89 votes on the women's seat. PTI's Azam Swati won one of the technocrat seats and JUI-F's Dilawar Khan won the other. PTI's disgruntled candidate Khurram Zeeshan did not get any votes.

It should be noted that a formula of 6 and 5 was agreed upon between the PTI and the opposition, and both won seats in the same proportion.
