India has agreed to participate in the Asian Cricket Council meeting to be held in Dhaka under the chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi

The Asian Cricket Council meeting chaired by PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi will be held in Dhaka tomorrow. Indian media said that India will participate in the Asian Cricket Council meeting. India will participate in the ACC meeting through video link.

Indian media further said that Afghanistan has also sent its representative to Dhaka to participate in the meeting. The Asia Cup schedule is expected to be announced in the ACC meeting.

On April 3 this year, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi took over as the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council, while he called a meeting of the new body in Bangladesh on July 24 this month.

However, India had recently come out openly in opposition to the meeting due to political tensions with Bangladesh and had started lobbying member countries not to attend the meeting.

Reports had said that India had also made attractive offers to member countries not to attend the meeting.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah had also lobbied for this, after which Sri Lanka and Oman supported India's position, however, most member countries wanted the ACC meeting to be held in Dhaka.
