Technology companies should not hire Indian citizens, Trump

Washington (July 24, 2025) - US President Donald Trump has given a strong message to major American technology companies like Google and Microsoft, asking them not to hire Indian nationals from other countries, including India.

According to media reports, while addressing the AI Summit held in Washington, Donald Trump said that American companies should now focus more on creating jobs in the United States instead of building factories in China or hiring Indian tech workers.

Speaking at the event, the US President criticized the behavior of the companies and called it a global mindset, saying that this approach has ignored many Americans.

He said that some major tech companies have made profits using American freedoms but have invested heavily outside the country.

He further said that many of our major tech companies have hired Indian nationals while building their factories in China and have made profits in Ireland, but this is the era of President Trump. The old days are over.

The US president said that we need American technology companies to be at the forefront of America, we want you to put America first.

He signed three new executive orders on artificial intelligence at the summit. One of them outlines a national strategy to promote the development of AI in the United States and reduce the barriers that slow the country's progress.

The plan, titled Winning the Race, aims to make the United States a leader in this by accelerating the construction of data centers and making it easier for companies to build the infrastructure needed for AI.
