Moscow: A passenger plane crashed in eastern Russia, killing all 49 people on board.

According to details, a passenger plane crashed in eastern Russia, killing all 49 people on board.

Russian news agencies and local authorities confirmed the accident. The Antonov An-24 aircraft, which was manufactured in 1976, was on a flight of the Siberian airline Angara Airlines.

The Angara Airlines plane in Siberia disappeared from radar near the town of Tyunda, bordering China, with 43 passengers (including 5 children) and 6 crew members on board.

The Russian news agency said that the plane crashed due to poor weather and low visibility during landing.

Governor Vasily Orlov said that all relevant rescue forces had been mobilized for search and rescue operations. Later, a Mi-8 helicopter discovered the burned wreckage of the plane at the crash site, which was found in a densely forested area 15 kilometers south of Tyanda.

The plane was making a second landing attempt at the time of the crash when it suddenly lost contact. According to regional authorities, the plane burst into flames after hitting the ground.

No one survived the crash, but an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the plane's crash.
