Pasta ready in three and a half minutes? Damage of 40 crores to the company of the woman
Florida: An American woman has filed a claim for five million dollars against a local food company, saying that the company resorted to lies.
Amanda Ramirez, a Florida resident, has alleged that Kraft Heinz violated the law by falsely claiming that Velveeta microwavable mac and cheese takes three and a half minutes to prepare.
According to the woman, the box produced by the company states that the Velveeta shells and cheese are ready in three and a half minutes, the same time it takes to cook macaroni pasta in the microwave.
According to the report of the foreign news agency, the said case has been filed in the court of the Southern District of Florida. The woman says that the product takes much longer to prepare than it should because the manufacturing process takes longer.
In her petition, she has also described the ingredients needed to make pasta and the method of preparing it in a microwave oven.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of Kraft Heinz Company has called it a frivolous case in a media statement regarding the said litigation. They say that we are aware of this frivolous and senseless lawsuit and will vigorously defend the complaints and allegations made against us.
