KARACHI: According to News, the Sindh government has completed the test run of the Peoples Bus Service project in Karachi without incident.
The 140 buses, which were just imported from China, made the 29-kilometer voyage without incident.
Sharjeel Inam Memon, Sindh Minister for Information, Transport and
Mass Transit, with his provincial cabinet colleagues Saeed Ghani and Waqar
Mehdi took a journey from Model Colony to Avari Tower on Sharea Faisal.
Ghani told the reporters that following the test drive, 240 buses will be deployed on seven different routes in Karachi
"Out of a total of 250 buses, 140 have arrived, with the rest of the vehicles scheduled to come soon," he added, adding that 240 of the buses will run in Karachi and the remaining 10 in Larkana.

Project for the People's Bus Service
The Peoples' Bus Service, run by the Sindh government, is a separate project from the BRT network.
The buses will run on Route 1 (29.5 km – Model Colony to Tower) and Route 3 (33 km – Nagan chowrangi to Singer Chowrangi) in Karachi in the first phase.
In the second phase, 200 buses would run on six routes in Karachi and one route in Larkana (10.33 kilometres).
