TikTok star Areeka Haq has also expressed her opinion on this worrying trend. In a recent interview, Areeka claimed that some social media personalities are deliberately leaking their own pornographic videos so that they can go viral and gain instant fame.
She lamented the growing desire for online attention and said that some creators are now crossing boundaries to get attention. She even said that in some cases, according to her, the intention behind the leaks may be to deliberately gain fame.
"Initially, I believed that the girls involved in such videos were just victims, but now I think that in some cases their consent may also be involved, although I still think that most are truly harmed," Areqa said.
