Launch of LML Electric Scooters and Brand's Return
In India, LML will return with electric scooters
LML is prepared to return with electric scooters. Lohia Machines Ltd., a two-wheeler manufacturer with its headquarters in Kanpur, is credited with introducing the Vespa to India in the 1990s. With the 100cc range of Bajaj scooters, they faced intense rivalry. Due to their inability to compete, the company was forced to close in 2018.
Now that LML is owned by SG Corporate Mobility, it will begin its new era with electric two-wheelers. On September 29, they'll present three concepts for electric two-wheelers. Both motorbikes and electric scooters will fall under this.
It has been revealed that the electric motorcycles will go on sale in the first quarter of 2023. Not only will these products be introduced to the domestic market, but they will also be exported to foreign nations. In this selection, we can anticipate both contemporary and vintage electric scooter designs.
Over the next three to five years, the company intends to invest a total of Rs. 1000 crore. These bikes will be made in the former Harley-Davidson manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana.
The motorcycle manufacturer intends to have about 1000 LML dealerships across the nation.
