AAMIR LIAQUAT’S POSTMORTEM: POLICE AND AAMIR’S FAMILY TURN TO COURT:
Sindh Police have applied to the city court for permission to conduct a postmortem on Aamir Liaquat in order to determine the cause of his death, however Aamir Liaquat's family has requested that no postmortem be conducted.
According to reports, the police filed an application in a municipal court requesting permission to conduct a postmortem on Aamir Liaquat, a well-known anchor and PTI MNA.
According to the police application, a postmortem will determine if Aamir died naturally or was killed.

Aamir Liaqat's son Ahmed, on the other side, has filed a counter-application, requesting that Aamir's body be handed over to his family without a postmortem. According to the motion, Aamir's family is prepared to provide an affidavit stating that they do not want a postmortem performed.
The Sindh Police had already issued a letter to the morgue in charge of Chippa Welfare Organization requesting that Aamir's body not be handed over to anyone other than police authorities.
According to the police letter, if the body is given over to anybody other than the officers, legal action would be taken against the welfare group.
