The experience of educators/author confirms that there are many children/youngsters who are so backward in basic subjects that they need special help. Researcher further introduces how to deal with abstract and systematic materials (i.e. language, number and concepts etc.) and they need much external stimulation and encouragement to do simple type of work. These students who are known to be slow to “Catch on" are called slow learners. Burt (1937) has rightly pointed out that the term" backward' or ' slow learners." According to Kirk (1962) the slow learners. Average and gifted students can be classified according to their rate of learning.
The researcher also defines the types of slow learner (below average learner) some of them are as following

These are mainly two types of slow learners
1, The children/youngsters recurring separation or segregated Set- up.
These children/youngsters are found to suffer from some or the other server forms of earning retardation and educational backwardness on account of their limited abilities like retarded mental development coupled with some of other socio-psychological deficiencies. They require more attention and provisions for their schooling and education more often in the shape of special school or special classes.

Slow learning or educationally backward children/youngsters would like special attention and take care of being punctually useful in obtaining eliminate their sub normality in term of rate of learning and academic accomplishment..
